OPCC custody visiting scheme wins national award - and we need new members to join our team |
||
|
The Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner for Humberside (OPCC) is proud to announce that its Independent Custody Visiting (ICV) scheme has been awarded the prestigious Platinum quality assurance award by the Independent Custody Visiting Association (ICVA). And we are looking for passionate new members to join our award-winning, Platinum-status team. The top-tier accreditation - the highest achievable grading - recognises the outstanding standard of the scheme and the exceptional dedication of our volunteers. By conducting regular, unannounced visits to police custody suites, our volunteers play a vital role in ensuring the welfare, rights, and dignity of detainees, keeping transparency and human rights at the heart of the custody environment. As a volunteer, you will be part of a highly respected and professional group committed to making a real difference in your community. If you are diligent, impartial, and want to contribute to maintaining high standards of accountability, we invite you to help us continue this vital work.
